Nudges serve to prompt your customers to engage with the program widget from the moment they sign into their store account or even when they land on your website.
Lootly has several different types of nudges, each designed to support a specific use case scenario.
This article explains the 5 nudge types, why you should use them and how to configure them in Lootly.

How to access the nudges
To access nudges in your Lootly account, navigate to Display -> Nudges:
Types of nudges
In the new screen, you’ll find 5 new nudge types, each designed to target a specific use case scenario.
Nudge type 1: Increase Referral Sharing
What triggers this nudge?
This nudge is triggered when customers are on your thank you page.
Why is it important?
The nudge increases your referral program’s visibility and accessibility. Furthermore, it reminds your customers of the reward they can receive if they send a referral.
Nudge type 2: Increase account creation
What triggers this nudge?
This nudge is shown when a customer is a first-time visitor to your e-store.
Why is it important?
Customers who create store accounts are more likely to come back and shop again with you. Plus, you get to know them and personalize your communications with them.
Display control
You can control where this nudge shows on your website by adding the URL of the page on which you don't want the nudge to popup - for example, on the account creation page.
Nudges type 3: Increase reward usage
What triggers this nudge?
This nudge is displayed when a customer has rewards available and are on the cart page.
Why is it important?
Remind customers of their available rewards right where it matters the most: on the cart page. This increases your redemption rate significantly and thus helps improve program performance.
Display control
You can specify the URL on which you want the nudge to show only - for example, show this nudge only on the cart page.
Nudges type 4: Increase point spending
What triggers this nudge?
When customers have enough points to spend for a reward, this nudge is triggered.
Why is this nudge important?
Customers should spend their points and obtain rewards. This nudge prompts them to engage with the program widget and choose a reward they’ll spend their points on. This improves your point redemption rate.
Nudges type 5: Increase order value
What triggers this nudge?
When you run a bonus point campaign, you can notify customers that they can earn more points by spending during this time.
Why is this nudge important?
Making sure people are instantly aware you’re giving extra points if they spend money with you during a specific time period.
Display control
You can specify the URL on which you don't want the nudge to show - for example, the checkout page.
How to customize the nudges and enable them on your e-store
You can customize how the nudges look and what message is conveyed to the customers.
Next to the nudge you wish to customize, click on the Edit button -> choose edit settings:
On this screen, you can customize several elements of the nudge:
title
description - this is the message you wish the nudge to convey
the button text
the icon - you can upload your own custom icon to go with the message context or your brand
Once you're done, click the enable button on the top of the screen and save your changes.
